VF hinged. 1941 Italian occupation of Montenegro. Italian postage due overprinted "UPHA ROPA." Italy occupied Montenegro until 1943 when it was defeated by Allied forces. The Germans then took over the occupation through 1944.

VF NH, 1944 Italian Social republic issue. Showing Italian landmarks, Statues, and a drummer boy. Mussolini proclaimed the Italian Social Republic September 1943, under a fascist government, one week after the Italians capulated to the allies. The Social Republic territory consisted of Northern Italy areas still occupied by the Germans.
