Following the Italian capulation in 1943, the German Military took control of Italian-occupied territories in the Balkans.
On the eastern tip of the Adriatic Sea, this area provided strategic control of that area of the Mediteranian Sea, and good
ports. It consisted of southern Yugoslavia, Albania and areas of Greece. Stamps issued for this area included overprints of previous
Italian occupation issues, and new stamps under German authority. Other autonomous Balkan cities & areas are listed under Laibach.

The Germans took over in October 1943 until liberation in November 1944. Jugoslavian stamps overprinted with new value in R.M., "Boka Kotorska" and lines.
