The stamp allowed one letter to be sent by U-boat back to Germany. This was the only means of getting mail out. Very scarce, Slight foxing spot. No gum as issued.

Very Fine No Gum. U-boat stamp issued to German soldiers trapped in a pocket in the Baltics on the North Sea March 1945. The stamp allowed one letter to be sent by U-boat back to Germany. This was the only means of getting mail out. Very scarce. Issued without gum.
