VF NH. 1943 Italian Occupation of Montenegro. Imprinted with national poems on the gum side of the stamps. The set of stamps was extensively overprinted under later German occupation.

1943 German occupation of the city of Zara in the Croatian part of Yugoslavia. Italy initially seized the city at the beginning of WW II, but ceded it's occupied territiories to Germany in 19443. The set of Italian military propaganda stamps was overprinted with "Deutsche Besetzung Zara," in October 1943. The four 50-cent stamps represent the four branches of the military. Signed, "Ludin BPP."
