VF No Gum. U-boat stamp issued to German soldiers of the 31st infantry division trapped in the Hela peninsula pocket in the Baltics on the North Sea March 1945. The stamp allowed one letter to be sent by U-boat back to Germany. This was the only means of getting mail out. Very scarce, Slight foxing spot. No gum as issued.
