Ionian Islands N27-28a, Red Overprint, Italian Occupation 1941

VF LH. Printed for the Ionian Islands west of Greece for German Occupation. Italian postage overprinted overprinted for the Italian Occupation "Isole Jonie" additionaly overprinted, "Greece, 2X43" in red. Issue valid for eight days. The islands were occupied by Italy until they were defeated by the Allies in 1943. The Germans then took over the occupation. Signed.
